Report Card Comment Batch

For K-12 teachers staring down 20 to 150 report card comments the week before the SIS deadline, exhausted after grading and unwilling to submit generic template paragraphs that will get flagged by the principal or blow up in a parent email. Paste your roster with per-student notes (strengths, growth areas, work habits, one specific incident or win) plus your school's tone rules and get back one paragraph per student that reads like you wrote it, anchored line by line to notes you actually pasted, and audit-ready for the admin spot check. Never invents assessments, standard codes, incidents, grades, family details, or reading levels the notes did not contain. Never emits diagnostic labels (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, depression) or the child-labeling adjectives every teacher forum flags (lazy, careless, difficult, disruptive, unmotivated). Strips the 2025 to 2026 report-card-generator cliche lexicon (a pleasure to have in class, demonstrates a strong grasp of, continues to make steady progress, consistently applies himself or herself, works hard and shows effort, meets expectations, shows a keen interest, is a positive influence on the classroom) into concrete verb-plus-evidence phrasing anchored to that student's used notes. Deep tier adds the full admin-rules rewrite layer with per-student receipts a principal can audit, cross-student anti-repetition so no two paragraphs share an opener stem or a closing sentence, and full grade-band register calibration from K-2 warm and families-can-picture-the-child through 9-12 concrete-and-precise observable behavior.

About this tool

What does report card comment batch do?

How does Report Card Comment Batch work?

You paste your class roster with one to three lines of authentic notes per student, pick the grade band and voice profile, flip the admin rule toggles your district requires (strengths_first, growth_mindset_framing, standards_referenced, no_diagnostic_labels, no_absolute_words), and one structured pass returns a customized report card comment for every student. Each comment stays grounded in the notes you actually wrote, matches the grade-band register (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12), and lands on a length your report card portal accepts. You get per-student receipts showing which of your notes were used, which were skipped, which admin rules fired, and every lazy educator phrase that was stripped along the way.

How is Report Card Comment Batch different from ChatGPT or ReportRemarks / Report Card Wizard?

ChatGPT will happily invent an incident your student never had and a standard your district never adopted, because it does not know what came from your notes and what came from its own head. ReportRemarks and Report Card Wizard sell you a library of pre-canned phrases you assemble by clicking, one dropdown at a time. Report Card Comment Batch is an AI report card comment writer with three sacred guards baked into the structured pass: a no-invention guard that refuses to fabricate assessments or grades, a no-diagnostic-labels guard that refuses to reach for ADHD or dyslexia, and a no-absolute-words guard that softens 'never' and 'always'. Every strip and every rewrite is receipted so you can audit exactly what changed.

Do you invent assessments, standards, incidents, or grades I did not paste?

No. The no-invention guard refuses to cite an assessment score, a letter grade, a specific classroom incident, a rubric standard, a state benchmark, or a behavior pattern that does not trace back to something you wrote in the notes. If your roster line for a student is 'strong writer, quiet in discussions,' the comment will not invent a math benchmark, a reading level, or a playground story. When a note is too thin to support a full report card comment, the tool drops a literal [TEACHER: add detail] placeholder and logs the refusal in that student's safety_flags receipt, so you know exactly which comments still need a quick edit before the report goes home.

Do you use diagnostic labels like ADHD or dyslexia?

No. The no-diagnostic-labels guard refuses to name ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, ODD, anxiety disorder, or any other clinical or IEP label anywhere in a report card comment, even if the label appears in your notes. Only a licensed clinician can diagnose, and only a formal IEP or 504 document should carry that language home, so the tool rewrites any note that would leak a label into observable behavior language ('needs frequent movement breaks', 'benefits from written directions alongside verbal') and records the rewrite in the ai_tells_stripped receipt. Same rule holds for medication references and family circumstances that a report card comment has no business mentioning.

How much does a batch cost, and do I need a subscription?

No subscription. You spend produde tokens per batch: 15 tokens for a Quick run on Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite, or 50 tokens for a Deep run on Gemini 3.5 Flash. Tokens are a prepaid platform credit you buy once and spend across any produde tool, so a teacher pays per report-card cycle instead of a monthly EdTech SaaS bill that keeps charging over summer break. If the run fails at any stage, the full token cost is refunded to your wallet automatically, so a partial pipeline error never costs you tokens on a batch you did not actually receive.

Which tier should I pick, Quick or Deep?

Quick (15 tokens, Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite, roster cap 20 students) is the fast defensible pass: every student gets a customized comment, grade-band register calibration, the admin rule toggles you flipped, the no-invention and no-diagnostic-labels guards, and the top report-card cliche strip. Deep (50 tokens, Gemini 3.5 Flash, roster cap 40 students) adds hard cross-student anti-repetition so no two comments in the batch share opening phrases or transition sentences, the full lazy-educator lexicon strip, and richer per-student receipts. Pick Quick for a small homeroom or a quarterly progress update. Pick Deep for an end-of-semester full class where a parent might read two siblings' reports side by side and notice the copy-paste.

What is the AI-tell strip?

It is the lexicon filter that strips the tired report card comment phrases every parent has learned to read past: 'a pleasure to have in class', 'a joy to teach', 'has come a long way', 'continues to grow', 'shows great potential', 'needs to focus more', 'is working towards', 'gives their best effort', 'strives for excellence'. Quick tier strips the top-8 offenders. Deep tier strips the full 2025-2026 lazy-educator lexicon and rewrites each stripped phrase into concrete observable behavior tied to the notes you pasted for that specific student. Every strip is receipted in ai_tells_stripped per student, so you can audit which cliches were caught and what replaced them.

How large a roster can I paste, Quick vs Deep?

Quick tier accepts up to 20 students per batch. Deep tier accepts up to 40 students per batch. If your section runs larger than the Deep cap, split the roster in half and run the batch twice; cross-student anti-repetition still holds within each half. The tool refuses to truncate silently: if you paste 45 students into a Deep run, the pipeline stops before spending tokens, tells you the cap was exceeded, and refunds the reservation so you can split the roster yourself and rerun. Same rule holds for empty roster lines, which surface in the safety_flags receipt for that student instead of getting a fabricated comment.

What does it cost?

From 15 tokens. Pick a tier on the form above. Produde tokens are a prepaid platform credit; buy them once and spend on any tool.

Do I pay if a run doesn't complete?

No. You only pay for results. If a run can't finish, its full token cost stays in your wallet automatically.

Is my data stored?
